Seascapes to Laneways is a relaxed and interesting walking tour of Newcastle between the harbour and the sea. We will introduce you to the best sights, stories and secrets from Newcastle's beautiful east end.
Seascapes to Laneways Walk runs Thursday to Sunday from 10am - 12:30pm
We created this tour to provide a fun introduction to Newcastle's fascinating history and modern day cultural delights. Travelling by foot from beaches to laneways, we explore highlights of the thriving new arts scene and learn about how new businesses have revitalised the city centre.
We also explore Newcastle's heritage by learning about Aboriginal heritage, colonial, maritime, and industrial life, and secret architectural wonders.
Tours start at 10am Thursday - Sunday, or on request.
The tour takes approximately 2.5 hours including a 20 minute refreshment break in a local cafe.
Meet at the bottom of the tower at Queen's Wharf (see grey place marker in map below). Look for your guide in a black Newcastle Afoot t-shirt - don't worry, we will be easy to find! There is seating and shelter available in the area. We will walk through Newcastle East, and finish near where we started.
Tickets are only $34 and include coffee/tea. There is a small additional booking fee.
Bookings are essential! Tours may not go ahead on any given day. Please call or email us if you have any enquiries.
There is a minimum of 4 bookings required for this tour to go ahead on public holidays.
